things i would do if i could control time.
1.spend more time with my family
-it'll probably prevent certain things from happening.
2.spend more time with friends
-its essential for keeping them
3.stay 16 FOREVER :)
its sweet sixteen afterall

wisdom grows
Today is the last day of Evangelism Explosion Day Camp.
It was extremely enriching as well as thought-provoking. It is interesting how so many people would attend the camp so eagerly and expectantly especially when majority of the congregation are youths. Yes, under 35. It is a pleasant sight to see fellow youths so enthusiastic to change their lives for the sake of others!
Love is truly the greatest aim of all. It's not the warm fuzzy feeling that one experiences but an intentional effort and decision a person makes. And thats just level 1 love.
Why do I say so?
Well, if you are a victim of a kidnapping case/rape/molestation or witness of a murder of a dear one, can you ever find room in your already shattered hearts to forgive the person who commited these crimes? Frankly, it is near impossible for me. My family is currently facing a torrential storm of problems. For me to forgive the person who caused this mess, well, lets just say its THE last thing I want to do.
However, the bible mentions that we are to love people, EVEN if they are our enemies. Is it difficult? Of course! But near impossible is STILL possible. Such is the greatness of God. Now, don't think for a moment that I am trying to preach!. I am merely trying to share my inner most thoughts and feelings with you. You may choose to reject them.
If you would allow me, I would like to take this opportunity to tell all who have been hurt before, that the person who had hurt you is most unlikely to be deserving of your forgiveness. I definitely agree with you. But here's the thing. Jesus, a wonderful man, had been hurt by people THROUGHOUT His life. Yet, time and time again, He forgives and extends His genuine love. Can you imagine? People were shouting all sorts of vulgarities at Him as He staggered with a heavy cross on His back. If this were a descriptive essay, it would sound like this.
"Blood had caked on His heavily wounded body. His bruised body was beyond recognition after the excruciating flogging. Each step was a tremendous effort of both mind and body and the pain was far from comprehension. Foul and cruel abuse were hurled mercilessly at Him and the mockers were great in number. Humiliation of being paraded in nothing but loin clothes was evident. The mental torment was as heavy as the physical abuse. Yet, Jesus limped on."
This would be my narrative of the story though it is far from complete. However my point is that although Jesus was so hurt by the people. And these were the people He had done no wrong to. So why would a good man like Him, who did NOTHING wrong, want to die so painfully? Unloved, unwanted and uncared for by the general public.
This is because He loves the people. He forgave them all, although they did not deserve it. He did it for you, because He loves you. And don't ever forget that.
If you are a christian, then move to the next level of love. It is easy to love someone who has been kind to you, but it takes effort to love someone who has hurt you. Don't ever forget the love that was showed to you, because someone else may need you to show them this unconditional love too.
To all readers who have given me their precious time reading this post, thank you so much.
Jesus loves you and I love you too.

Life
I'm hoping for the best!
cleaned my house today but 1 patch was cruelly dirtied after 1 hour of my hard work.
My sister spilled smelly cat sand on the floor. Had to clean it up, again. My brother was not at all tactful. Calling me a retard for asking my sis to clear up the mess she made definitely added fuel to my already burning rage. Yes, I'm being dramatic. Of course, I retaliated with my own form of sarcasm. Am I really 1 step closer to being like Christ? This incident is proof that I've yet to be 100% accepting of my brother's way of speaking. Honestly, saying that someone is a retard is by no means useful! It's times like these that 1 can gain incredible wisdom.
(1) Rather than calling a person a retard which only serves to prove that the person saying it is full of idiocy, keeping quiet would be a much wiser alternative.
(2) Being angry over a small problem is foolish especially when it can easily be rectified. Patiently cleaning up would of course be better
Yes, regarding my progress in managing my emotions, I'm definitely hoping for the best!

Life
Today was one of the better days.
Though my POA paper had not gone as planned, the day was still filled with fun, excitement, joy and content. To Fiona Ramli, Jolyn, Yi hui,Dickson,Gerald,Jon and Yun sheng, thanks for the fantastic outing!
Firstly, we went to Sakura International Buffet. It was EXTREMLY filling! Meaybe because we ate to fast xp. Anyway, we ended up playing a game to finish the leftover food and it was hilarious! There were "saboteurs" though they didn't do it intentionally. :)
Was supposed to meet Eugene at 7. Guess it wasn't convenient so we didn't meet up. Its probably better that way. I finished my paper at 4, he wanted to meet his friends, Daryl and Stefanie, at 7pm for dinner. I was starving by the time my paper was finished.
Wait till 7?
No way!
Waiting for Sakura that could only start at 6 was enough torture, but as Jon said "You still gotta wait.".
Honestly, I would have still met Eugene up if he had agreed to meet me earlier and have a light snack. However, he was at Daryl's house and therefore could not meet me earlier. Fair enough. Now I know why he played computer games the WHOLE day yesterday.
Then, I thought Eugene would be coming over to my place for a sleepover and to finally spend quality time after our series of examinations. But, (yes, there's always a "but" or "however") he said he couldn't stay over though there were no reasons that he specified or gave for that matter. I'd rather not assume, so lets just say he couldn't due to unforeseen circumstances.
In his defence, he did offer to send me home first before he headed for home. And of course, I rejected. It wasn't wise for either of us anyway. Him sending me home would mean a series of frustrating calls and misunderstandings. I can live without both.
To add on to the above event, Stefanie backed out of the dinner date so it was just him and Daryl. He said he had fun, good for him!
Now, lets turn the attention to my classmates and I!
My classmates are extremely sporting! We played "pass the message" via charades and it was funny to see how the original action become so different. Also, we took a lot of pictures (duh) but i don't know how to upload them on blogs... sorry. you won't know how I look like unless you've seen me before *apologetic smile*
In a nutshell, it was FANTASTIC.
I thank God, because He puts wonderful people in my life in every single season or phase that I go through. I believe that He has put in me a destiny, just as He has in you. It is often through our friends that we can discover more about ourselves and this is something that I've learned today. Friends outside church can tell you what you're good at, friends inside church tell you what you can become great at. Its truly the best of both worlds. You get to know your strengths and weaknesses as well as the potential for you to become an even greater person! yes, friends are definitely important in life.

Its all about You
Common test results were out for quite a while but didn't post it up! Well merilyn, you've done pretty well. BUT these are the subjects that you MUST improve in.
1) Theory of Economics
2)Auto CAD
3)CATS
yup! gotta buck up!
relationships are the hardest things to maintain! Electronics are WAY WAY easier. For example, when a handphone cover is chipped, you just buy a new cover. If a laptop crashes, you just send it for a repair. But thats only if something bad happens to our precious gadgets. Its just spending a little money otherwise, you pretty much leave it as it is! Relationships on the other hand are much MUCH tougher. Not only do you invest money into them, you spend time effort and a whole lot of feelings into it! Imagine how many relationships God has with people! :)
